About the Carl Russo poetry collection

Carl Russo passed away on October 7, 2012. His family kindly gave us a box of his papers, but we know that other poems of his never made it into this collection and may turn up at some future point.

I (Rich Puchalsky) went through these papers, as well as his published material in the Silkworm, and converted them into PDFs. I donated the papers to a permanent archive at the Du Bois library at Umass Amherst.

The paper themselves came from sources as follows, which are listed on the Collected Works page:

• Carl published poems in the Florence Poets Society's yearly publication, the Silkworm, in Silkworm 2006, Silkworn 2007, Silkworm 3, and Silkworm 6
• He created a chapbook, Twenty-Two in Five
• The rest of his poems were on sheets of paper in one of five paper folders, as listed in Collected Works.

My thanks to his family as well as Tom Clark, Anita Gallers, and Laura Varney who all helped with the project of collecting Carl's poems in various ways.
