Subject: Puchalsky's homepage and critique of my essay Date: 21 Mar 1996 02:12:58 GMT Organization: The Hoover Institution Message-ID: <4iqdva$md5@nntp.Stanford.EDU> Reply-To: moore@Hoover.Stanford.EDU In the past Puchalsky has criticized me because of an error in my paper on Global Warming: A Boon to Humans and Other Animals remained in the work. Actually I had already removed the offending sentence from copies being sent out, and at that time I asked that he and John McCarthy, both of whom had posted my essay, to delete the mistake. I recently looked at Puchalsky's page and found that he still had my original essay with the mistake included. I would appreciate it if he either deleted the mistake or better still just put a link to my home page which includes the essay without that error. The version on my home page includes the chart on population which is not available in any other on-line versions. To reduce the controversy over my essay, I have also removed from my posted copy of Global Warming the material on clouds that Pierrehumbert was so exercised about. It was not an important part of the work.
